Sphero!

Before lockdown in science we got some learn how to code an epic robot horde Spiro we chose It Go in a square and zoom around the class. The spirit of robot was very fun but very hard to code specially to connect to it you had to wait a minute or so before it would pick up your Spiro signal what we found challenging was we had to put it back on charge before we could connect to it.

I really enjoy coding Spiro because it was a really good challenge and I love coding stuff especially it's a really cool outfit and also game fruit is a challenging one as well but this was by far the hardest which made extra fun. I found it really hard to connect the spirit cos everyone in my group wanted to connect to it and there was only two of them underneath and a big spirit so we had to take turns which I felt very challenging who is I really wanted to try my new code on it and I had to wait my turn and I didn't get a try.

Next time I will try to upgrade my Coke even more and make sure it's my cupboard and I'm not copper in the videos tutorials because ID really like to Coburn around some cupboards and in through tables.

Lemon battery!!!!

 In science we were doing lemon batteries to learn about technology and how it goes together.  Lemon batteries was one of the seven awesome activities out teacher had set up for us to do.

Making the lemon batteries we use 8 lemons but the light up the same with 7 lemons. At the start I predicted that we need six lemons but six lemons didn't work because one of the lemons was really small so we added two more and the light lit up.

I Enjoyed working with my group to create this because we had the problem solve and create different alligator don't know what alligator cables is it's a bit and two pigs on each side. 

To make sure the light lit up we used a volte measurer to measure the vault  the average was 8 to 9 but strangely it popped randomly up to 50 volts which I think was a glitch in the machine.

Cotton ball launchers!!

  In science we were learning about Newton's first law of motion which is inertia something that still stay still until force is applied to it normally it would keep going but we have objects in the way on the planet such as Rocks grass and gravity. What was we to show inertia was we were making cotton ball launchers!

In this fun activity I found it really hard to roll the cardboard into toilet rolls the reason we have to do this is because this experiment was so short notice to our teacher that she couldn't collect toilet rolls because we were meant to do circuit boards and wiring but they hadn't arrived yet so we had to make them ourselves.

What I really enjoyed was shooting my cotton ball launcher at the big long ruler that the teacher had made with a mocha and some tape and trying to beat my friends. For most of the session I hold the record until Ruby came along and bid  it.

At home me and my brother Blake decided to do this really fun activity so we may Blake a launcher and we got to it shooting balls everywhere around the house. It was super fun!!!   when Blake made his he found it really hard to put the pencil through the middle tube because he didn't have a hole puncher he also found it really hard trying to beat my brother?

 "I liked in the target and hitting everywhere in the house and trying to beat my brother " said Blake.

The Egg Drop...

 In science we where learning again about the first law of motion created by Isaac Newton. Out of the Three Laws of Motion we will learn in about inertia, when something is still it stay still when something is moving it stays moving but that's not the case on earth, because like when you kick a ball, normally that would keep going but gravity and another object such as Rocks, Stones and tree stop it.

The egg drop experiment, in the egg drop experiment you will need 1 cup water a flat tray or plastic plate and one egg1 cardboard toilet roll. To start off with full York up with water not too much water otherwise it won't work very well and the water will go everywhere, just sound second put the plate over the cup of water facing up and the toilet roll on top of the plate try to get it in the centre then put the egg on top and lightly like a spring the plate in the evening hopefully drop into the cup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Balloon Rockets!

Today in science we will learn in about Newton's three laws of motion. Out of the three we were only work in on the 3rd everything is an action has a reaction. My favourite part was when we make balloon rockets. Balloon walk it's are really easy to make and fun to do at school and at home. This was a very fun activity I found it hard to CoolDrive thinking on a bit of paper because I'm so over out and excited with the experiment. Next time I think I will let other people how the string in microphone instead of me doing it the whole time. As I said this was a very fun activities to do it at home here is all your need a stra, some string, tape and a balloon. Thread the string through the straw then put some type of the top of the stra and attach the blowing up balloon have someone holding the string on either side and then the balloon do the magic.

science behind this experiment was when you blew up the balloon and let it go it created pressure sending the balloon up but sometimes when it was on an Ayle it didn't work because gravity was pushing the gates it. My group had a great try so watch this cool video.

Molecules

 This science lesson as our experiment  we were making changing coloured milk/Molecules. I most enjoyed when we Put the soap into the milk and food colouring when  the food colouring smashed to the sides creating something that look like marble art. I found it a challenging not spell the milk or we had to clean it up because there was carpet and it would have made it stinky. The science behind it was we the soap touched the milk it extracted water from the fatty acids which makes the food colouring flying to the sides making it look like marble art.

Homemade lava lamps

 In science elective this week we made lava lamps. Unfortunately we didn't get to take them home because we made them in a group and it'd be unfair of one of us took them home in the others didn't it was very fun when we added the hill and it's the larval and started producing here up to the top and then that it would come right back down and then go back up again.When you added the tablet piece, it sank to the bottom and started dissolving and creating a gas. As the gas bubbles rose, they took some of the colored water with them. When the blob of water reached the top, the gas escaped and down went the water.  Check out the school like to see how to make lava lamps at home.

Making bath bombs

This week in science electives we made bath bombs  for Mother's Day which was a very fun activity.

When we were making the bath bombs we had to make sure we didn't put too much water and liquid on to the dry powder it was very challenging because you had to add water but you had to had the right amount or it would start visit in your bath bomb would be ruined. The results in the science behind our Observations When a bath bomb comes in contact with water, the baking soda and citric acid react to make carbon dioxide bubbles. This is an acid–base reaction, where baking soda (also called sodium bicarbonate) is a weak base and citric acid is a weak acid.

Bath Bomb Recipe What you will need: (dry) - 1 cup of baking soda 1/2 cup of citric acid  1/2 cup of epsom salt (wet) - 1 tsp of water 1 tsp of essential oil 3 tsp of olive oil / coconut oil / Almond oil 2-3 drops of food coloring  Measure out and whisk together your dry ingredients in a large bowl. Next, in a small cup, mix together the wet ingredients. This is also where you’ll add the essential oils.  The next step is very important. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. You’ll want to do this very slowly, adding little drops at a time while mixing. The citric acid is what causes the bath bombs to fizz when it comes into contact with water. Adding the wet ingredients slowly minimizes this affect. Then, firmly press the mixture into the mould.  Let the bath bombs dry for at least 24 hours.
