Olympic acrostic poem!

In writing we where making an acrostic poem about the Tokyo Olympics because the Tokyo Olympics is really cool event that people can expire to do.

Book review/Miri & Raru

In reading we as one of our must do's we got to create a book review about this awesome comic book called Miri & Raru. This comic book is really cool and imaginative I highly recommend you to read.

My favourite part in the book was when Miri realised her teacher used to draw Monsters when she was upset  to make her feel happier.

Unfortunately I found it difficult to rate this book because I really liked it but they could have done some things that would have made it better, like added more characters but at the end I thought it was a really cool book.

In the future to make my book reviews better I think I will add more positive and descriptive words about the text because there are a lot more cool things that I can say about the book that I need to add in there.

Olympic medals!

This week in inquiry we were learning about the Olympic values friendship respect and excellence  so after I was done as my create I decided to design the Olympic medals as you can see below.  When we did create I did it with two other  buddies Archie did the gold medal I did the silver medal and Rautaki did the bronze metal. My favourite medal is the silver medal, comment below and tell me your favourite medal.

In  this time I found it really hard to collaborate with my buddies because you wanted to do different designs on the medals but one design look better than others so we went with it. S using you have a cool metal design it is really fun and easy to do just grab your Chromebook and do it on a Google drawing or it's on a bit of paper.

When I was doing my create I found it really easy to polyline the Olympic rings because they were around and there's only five but it was hard polyline in the straps for the medals because you had to get it symmetrical and the right size. Comment below and tell me your favourite medal?

In the future when I do this activity I will pick buddies that are not my best friends and then I think I will work better with and maybe do a different metal from the silver.  Next time another thing that I will need to do is make the medals more about respect friendship and excellence because we were meant to do them about them Olympic values and I think we failed on that. 

My awesome comic book!

 

The last two weeks in reading we have learning about how to create our own comic book on this really cool app called Paxton feel free to check it out here the link.  

In reading I have really enjoyed creating my own avatar because you got to pick what post and what facial expressions you would like on yourself. 

I found it really hard to  create a comic book with only limited amount of backgrounds and people and on a site that I had no clue how to use.

Next time In reading I will try and read the main text a little bit longer so then I have a better idea off the story.

The Egg Drop...

 In science we where learning again about the first law of motion created by Isaac Newton. Out of the Three Laws of Motion we will learn in about inertia, when something is still it stay still when something is moving it stays moving but that's not the case on earth, because like when you kick a ball, normally that would keep going but gravity and another object such as Rocks, Stones and tree stop it.

The egg drop experiment, in the egg drop experiment you will need 1 cup water a flat tray or plastic plate and one egg1 cardboard toilet roll. To start off with full York up with water not too much water otherwise it won't work very well and the water will go everywhere, just sound second put the plate over the cup of water facing up and the toilet roll on top of the plate try to get it in the centre then put the egg on top and lightly like a spring the plate in the evening hopefully drop into the cup!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

M&M Stacking

Is easy as it seems to stack M&M  Stacking it's actually really hard it's like stacking soccer balls. Can you be a world record the world record for sticking in the nearest is 5 by a Maori All Black. So we decided to have a go in science it was so difficult even out teacher struggled but Vincent got three twice in a row the highest in our class. The highest I got was 2! This is such a fun experiments here's what you'll need to do it at home a packet of Eminem's and a flat surface strategies so they can stick together. Cold air balloon

 part 1: this lesson in science we will learn about the cold air balloon. I really enjoyed when the oxygen came up from the vinegar and the baking soda when it blew up the balloon. That is a really really fun experience very easy it'll be fun to do and your family at home or at a friend's house or a nana and pops here's the things that you want me you will need a plastic bottle no particular size baking soda as much as you can the more baking soda do you put in the mall the balloon or blow up in Niger and a balloon.

As you know in a previous post we will learn about cold air balloon. Cold air balloon part 2: Thes science lesson we were expanding on cold air balloon part one but this time we had a bigger bottle more vinegar and more baking soda but the same balloon. Try one we put 4 cups of Vinegar into the milk bottle in 8 ts of baking soda into the balloon but when we put the balloon on the milk bottle the balloon wrapped so we had the try again. Try tow we got another balloon and filled it with baking soda but 8 cups did infinite this torrent when we put it on the bottle it did exactly what it was meant to do. It's been lifted up the balloon leasing the baking soda go into the vinegar it started to create carbon dioxide which blew up the balloon very big but a balloon got filled with liquid and started squirting  out of the sides and went everywhere.
